About Olson Saw SF63507 Fret Saw Fret Saw, Flat Wire Frame
This Flat Wire Fret Saw has a13-3/4″ cutting depth. An excellent saw for detailed marquetry and scroll work where great depth is required. Uses 5″ fret, plain end scroll, jewelers, and spiral saw blades. Rigid, flat wire frame keeps blades taut for pull or down stroke sawing. Handle can be folded between frame ends for storage and shipping. Does NOT include a blade. Resembles a coping saw, but blade is much thinner for making intricate cuts. It will NOT take coping blades. The fret saw has a longer, larger frame that allows cutting farther from the outer edges. With a saw like this, the blade cannot be rotated, unless you use a spiral scroll saw blade you can saw in many different directions.
