This is a cord that runs from the transformer that sits either beside or behind the chair and goes up under the chair to the motor. It has a male two (2) prong flat blade/round blade plug on the end that plugs into the transformer, and a female two (2) pin female plug that plugs into the short cord from the motor. However, this cord has a rectifier built into the cord (the rectifier changes voltage from AC to DC; some older chairs used an AC transformer (no battery backup on the transformer), so the rectifier was needed to convert the voltage to DC. TECHNICAL TIP: If the cord you have is physically damaged, then it is obvious that you need a new cord. However, if you think the cord has a short in it, then just for test purposes, eliminate the cord, and plug the transformer directly into the short cord off the motor. NOTE: the motor won't run if you do this, but if the motor now "hums" when it didn't before, you can be confident that the cord may be the problem. If your cord looks like the one pictured with the same ends as shown, then this will the correct one.
