The Oakton WD-39642-00 Mini TempTestr IR infrared thermometer measures surface temperature from a safe distance for use in food preparation, field measurements, and mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting. The thermometer measures temperature from - 33 to 220 degrees C (- 27 to 428 degrees), with an accuracy of + or - 2% of the measurement or 2 degrees C/4 degrees F, whichever is higher. The thermometer has a 1:1 distance-to-spot measurement ratio. A 95% accurate measurement is available in less than 1 second, allowing rapid measurement of moving parts. The unit's memory stores minimum/maximum measurements and the unit has a hold function and selectable auto-off. The Oakton WD-39642-00 is used to measure the temperature of hot and cold food products, electrical connections, engine parts, and other surfaces.SpecificationsTemperature range-33 to 220 degrees C (-27 to 428 degrees F)Accuracy+ or - 2% or 2 degrees C/4 degrees FResolution1 degree C/1 degree FDistance-to-spot ratio1:1Power supply(1) 3V CR2032 battery (included)Dimensions (H x W x D)2.5 x 1.5 x 0.5 inchesH is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.Digital infrared thermometers measure the temperature of surfaces from a distance. They may measure temperature in Celsius, Fahrenheit, or both. Infrared (IR) thermometers work by focusing the infrared radiation emitted by a surface onto a detector called a thermopile. The thermopile turns the heat into electricity, which is measured and converted to a temperature reading. The reading is then displayed on an LCD display.
