Organic Carnauba Wax is a vegetable wax harvested from the leaves of the Brazilian palm tree. Nuvia Organics Carnauba wax is graded the highest - T1 Grade for quality and purity. It carries a faint pleasing, natural aroma. For various food products Carnauba wax is used as a coating/ hardened outer layer (gum, candy, chocolaty treats). Great ingredient to use in DIY products for cosmetics, personal care, medicinal applications and for polishing. Melting point is around 180 F, typical amount used in cosmetic formulation 5% to 40%. Acts as a thickener, emollient, moisturizer and consistency enhancer. Great ingredient to use when making such products such as creams, ointments, balms, lip sticks, lip gloss, chap-stick, and deodorant. The best wax to use as an ingredient in making your own DIY polishing wax.
