Noto Dia Table-top Charcoal Grill, Shichirin Hida Konro (Rectangular) This is a traditional Hida tabletop charcoal grill used at many Japanese style restaurants. The body of Hida grill stoves are usually covered with Japanese style paper designed with Chinese characters. All manufacturing processes from mining of diatomaceous earth to finishing are conducted by skilled professionals. The body and metal parts get extremely hot during use. Beware of burns. Also, diatomaceous earth is ceramic and vulnerable to impacts. Note that falls or impacts may cause crack or breakage. Diatomaceous earth grills are non-washable. Do not wash the grill after use and just let it cool down spontaneously. Then wipe with a towel that is wet and wrung out. Some dirt or oil stains may not be removed completely. They can be partially removed when rubbed with sandpaper after thoroughly dried out. These stains or discoloration can be seen as their own identity.
