Use this procedure at your own risk: Dip the pick (or the part that is to be modified) briefly in hot water with tongs. Avoid too long exposure to hot water, so that the pick does not lose its structure. Take the pick out of the water and make sure not to burn your fingers. Adjust the shape of the pick, and then hold it in the desired shape while dipping it into ice cold water until it hardens into the new shape.
