About NiSi NIR-OB-82 VARI Orange And Blue 82mm Polarizer
The NIR-OB-82 is a NiSi VARI Orange & Blue polarizer fitted to 82mm filter mounts. The VARI Orange & Blue polarizers work very much like a variable ND filter, except instead of reducing all light evenly these filters specifically target orange and blue wavelengths. Depending on the setting, users can enhance or virtually eliminate blue or orange wavelengths of light from photos and video. NIR-OB filters also function as a standard polarizer, cutting light from non-metallic reflected surfaces and changing the transmission of light from digital displays. The two filters together reduce light by about 2-2.5 stops. Each piece of glass has a double-sided, multi-layer, anti-reflection coating, and the color film is guaranteed not to fade or distort on the edges.
