Throttle controls are designed to control the engine speed of gasoline and diesel engine driven compressors. The throttle control keeps the engine at the operational speed until it receives a pressure signal, it then throttles down the engine until the pressure signal is released. Throttle controls must be used in conjunction with a pilot valve which controls the pressure signal. The brass cylinder end of the throttle control is screwed directly into an unloader device's unloader port through an 1/8" NPT Connection. The Z bend at the end of the cable is inserted into the throttle arm and mounted at the throttle plate of the engine. The cable whip is permanently lubricated and self cleaning. This particular style throttle control cable is used on compressors with external unloading devices and engines 6.5hp and below.
