About Neria
Through shared effort and resourcefulness, Neria and her husband Patrick are creating a lifestyle for their family that they had always dreamed of. But when Patrick is tragically killed in an accident, Neria's life quickly turns into a nightmare. While Neria is mourning her husband's death during his funeral in his village, her brother-in-law Phineas is busy in town, stripping Neria's house of all their belongings. Phineas acts quickly, claiming inheritance rights to Neria and her property, in accordance with African tradition. Neria cautiously suspects her brother-in-law's true motives and when Phineas abducts her children, Neria decides to fight back. A classic African film that has struck a nerve that runs across the continent, with an original soundtrack and supporting performance by Zimbabwe's legendary World Music sensation, Oliver Mtukudzi.
