Nemex® by Pfizer is a single-dose treatment for the removal of large roundworms and hookworms in dogs and puppies. It is also effective in preventing the reinfestation of T. canis in adult dogs, puppies and lactating moms after whelping. It is available in a palatable liquid. The active ingredient is Pyrantel Pamoate, a safe and effective ingredient to treat worms in dogs. Nemex®-2 Suspension is a palatable caramel flavor your dog will lick right up. Directions: Active Ingredient: Liquid, Each ml contains 4.54 mg of Pyrantel base as Pyrantel Pamoate. Administer 1 teaspoon (5 ml) for each 10 lbs of body weight. It is not necessary to withhold food prior to or after treatment. Dogs usually find this dewormer very palatable and will lick the dose from the bowl willingly. If there is reluctance to accept the dose, mix in a small quantity of dog food to encourage consumption. It is recommended that dogs under constant exposure to worm infestation should have a follow-up fecal exam within 2 to 4 weeks after treatment. For maximum control and prevention of reinfestation, it is recommended that puppies be treated at 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, and 10 weeks of age. Lactating bitches should be treated 2 to 3 weeks after whelping. Adult dogs kept in heavily contaminated quarters may be treated monthly. Precautions: For use in dogs only. Shake liquid thoroughly before every use. The liquid is a suspension and will separate. To ensure uniform re-suspension and to achieve proper dosage, it is important that the product be shaken thoroughly before every use. If dog looks or acts sick, do not treat with this product. Store liquid below 86° (30°C). Keep out of the reach of children.
