This 16 inch support pillow is made with hand painted Indonesian batik fabric. A fabric of earthy tones, shades of brown and green with a dash of glitter. Filled with organic buckwheat hulls it weighs just under 21 ounces and measures 16 inches long by 6 inches high and 4 inches deep. These hand-made high quality support pillows may vary slightly in size. Those with allergies to feathers or other synthetics will appreciate buckwheat's hypo-allergenic properties. Unlike other pillow fillings, buckwheat hulls do not compress under pressure. This allows the pillow to mold to the contours of your body. The buckwheat hulls are 100% organic, natural and eco-friendly. These one-of-a-kind Batiks are produced on the island of Java in Indonesia by skilled dye masters. Each yard of these sumptuous fabrics is unique. The fabric is hand-stamped and then hand-painted multiple times, with many different pairs of hands working on every yard. Most of the work is done outside, so the weather greatly influences the results. Due to this specialized hand-process, there is a consistency to color and pattern, while maintaining subtle color variations that are so important to this traditional technique.
