Native hoop drums of the famous Tarahumara Indians are fashioned by hand. The Tarahumara Indians are said to be North Americas most primitive people, inhabiting caves and cliff dwellings. Hoop drums are Native hand drums made with a piece of native yellow pine bent into the shape of the drum. Rawhide is stretched over both sides, of the drum ring to form a sturdy hand drum. Hoop drums, are held vertically by a rawhide handle on the lacing. All Native American cultures use drums and these Tarahumara hoop drums are perfect for drumming, rustic decor and as a canvas for art projects. Simple drum beater included.
