The Nalgene 4109-1000 1000mL Erlenmeyer flask is made of clear polymethylpentene (PMP), has a polypropylene screw cap, and is designed for titration or preparation and storage of cell culture media. The flask is made of PMP, which has a high melting point and good chemical resistance. The cap is polypropylene, which resists most chemicals, has excellent dimensional stability, and can be sterilized. Both the flask and cap can be autoclaved. The polypropylene size 53 cap provides secure storage of samples or culture media. The flask measures 221.2mm high with cap, and the base has an outside diameter of 130mm. The inside diameter of the neck is 40.6mm. Molded-in graduated markings indicate approximate volume measurements in 100mL increments.
