Even you are replacing with E26/E27 CFL, you need remove the ballast also. Otherwise, the CFL E26/e27 Lamp will not work on. 2. How to bypass the ballast? 1.Off the Power. 2. Find the Ballast. Usually it is embedded inside the ceiling fixture. Pls pull off the existing PL lamp, reflector. Leave wire in junction box,find the ballast. 3. Normally, the Ballast has a black and white wire on the input side (AC input side,100-120V for North America). It also has two red and two blue output wires. To bypass this ballast, please cut all the Input and output wires, so total 6 wires cut. 4.Then you can connect the two red wires to the black wire. 5.Next, connect the two blue wires to the white wire. now ballast is bypassed
