Mullein (Verbascum densiflorum) is a biennial herb. The whole plant is covered with soft, grayish or yellowish-gray hairs. The stem is tall and thick, not branched. Flowers are collected in bunches. The calyx is 6-12 mm long. Corolla is yellow, almost without transparent dots, outside covered with stellate hairs. The filaments of the stamens are orange, the two anterior are usually bare, and the filaments of the posterior stamens are densely planted with yellowish papillary hairs. The stem is slightly pubescent at the base, thickening towards the apex. It blooms from June to the end of August. Seeds are small, brownish-black.
