Master craftsmen in Laramie, Wyo. combined rare, never-the-same barn wood with regionally harvested woods to create this uncommonly graceful collection. Besides offering a unique piece of history from the American West, reclaimed wood boasts a naturally weathered appearance and authentic patina that can't be found elsewhere. The widely varying knot patterns, grain designs and colors – from rich, weathered grays to shades of orange and red – give each piece its own personality. As a founding member of the Sustainable Furniture Council, Mountain Woods Furniture® is committed to using mostly reclaimed or "dead-standing" wood, and where necessary, supplementing those wood sources with sustainably sourced, locally harvested aspen trees. The company uses wood scraps to efficiently heat their facility and utilize low-VOC stain and water-based finishes during construction to minimize indoor air pollution.
