The U.S. Solid ¾" brass motorized ball valve comes with a three prong outlet plug, and a vital auto return function. It is a great option for any industrial or home automation projects. The stem and body of this valve are made of a sturdy but cost effective stainless steel 304. The valve actuates with 110V of AC power, and opens fully in 3-5 seconds. This valve is normally closed (N/C). This means that when the power source is removed, the valve will automatically return to the closed position. This provides a great fail safe, depending on your application of the valve. When fully opened, only a negligible amount of power is drawn. This is key, because it means the valve can be plugged in continuously without risk of ever overheating. This is one of the aspects that sets motorized ball valves apart from solenoid valves. They are able to be continuously powered without risk of breaking down or overheating. It is also much more environmentally friendly. This particular motorized ball valve comes with a impeccably designed casing. It has an ingress protection rating of IP65. This means it got the top rating (6) for protection from solid particles, and a rating (5) for liquids that means it can withstand water spray from all directions.
