About Mosquito Summit Dunks
Labeled for organic gardening. Kills mosquito larvae. A safe way to control mosquitoes before they become flying insects. Non-toxic to animals such as horses, fish, wildlife, birds and pets; also harmless to humans. Each dunk will last up to 30 days in standing water and will cover 100 sq. ft. Safe to use in animal watering bowls, animal watering troughs, lakes, bird baths, fish ponds, flower pots, aquatic gardens, flood control basins, unused swimming pools and other areas where standing water is a possible breeding ground for mosquitoes. Contains BTI, a bacteria toxic only to mosquito larvae. How to Use: Step 1: Open the package. Step 2: Drop the briquettes into standing water or potential breeding sites. As they slowly dissolve, they release a bacterium which is toxic to mosquito larvae. Only 1 BTI briquette is needed per 100 sq. feet of surface area. Step 3: Allow a minimum of 48 hours for product to achieve control. Where to Use : BTI Mosquito Briquettes can be used anywhere there is standing water or areas susceptible to accumulating standing water such as: bird baths, old automobile tires, rain barrels, ponds, abandoned or unused swimming pools (particularly above ground types), tree holes, roof gutters for collecting rainwater, flower pots, animal watering troughs, elevator shafts, basements that flood, and any drainage areas within buildings. You can use these products when there is a mosquito infestation, especially after rainfall. The product can also be used preventatively before rainfall or expected flooding in dry areas that are known to become flooded after a rain.
