Package included: Weighing Indicator (Display), Scale Platform, Coiled Cable (to connect Base and Indicator). AC-Adapter and AAA Batteries (x2). Power: This scale operates using the included AC power adapter or two AAA batteries (both are included). Make sure that batteries are installed with the correct +/- orientation, and that the plastic insulator has been removed. If after use the scale is not to be used for over a month, remove the batteries. Assemble: Remove the parts from the box. connect one end of the included cable to the side of the scale platform and the other end of the display. How to use your scale: The display-- the display has 4 function keys to assis you in weighing your item. "ON/OFF": Turns the scale on or off. "MODE": Select the unit of weight for weighing the item, or used when re-calibrating the scale. "TARE": Subtracts the weight of an object used to contain your contents while weighing. Trouble-shooting: This display shows the character "OL-D": The scale has exceeded its weight limit. Remove weight from the platform immediately. The display shows the character "L", or there is no display: Replace the batteries.
