About the Author I first arrived in Ecuador in 2012 with a suitcase and a half-baked idea to travel and practice Spanish for three months. I was immediately fascinated by the culture, natural beauty and relaxed lifestyle. My big breakthrough came when a Galapagos tourism company hired me to write their travel blog.
