About Monopoly Game Patent Art ~ Set Of 7 Game Patent

Set of 7 Invention Patents recreated for people that love Monopoly. This patent set are from the patent of 1935. Created by C. B. Darrow For a little history....The history of Monopoly can be traced back to 1903, when American anti-monopolist Elizabeth Magie created a game which she hoped would explain the single tax theory of Henry George. It was intended as an educational tool to illustrate the negative aspects of concentrating land in private monopolies. She took out a patent in 1904. Her game, The Landlord's Game, was self-published, beginning in 1906. After the game's excellent sales during the Christmas season of 1934, Parker Brothers bought the game's copyrights from Darrow. When the company learned Darrow was not the sole inventor of the game, it bought the rights to Magie's patent MAKES A GREAT GIFT What a great gift for anyone who likes the unusual.
