This McGill CF Camrol series steel stud-type cam follower bearing with lip seals and a hexagonal hole supports high static and dynamic loads in cam- and track-type applications. This precision cam follower has a thick-walled outer ring that helps minimize deformation under heavy radial and shock loads. It has a threaded stud-type design for through-hole or threaded mounting, and a hexagonal hole on the flange end that provides greater holding power during mounting than a screwdriver slot. The inner stud has inch threads manufactured to class 2 tolerances. This cam follower is made of bearing steel treated with black oxide for corrosion protection. The working surfaces of the inner raceways and flange are zone-hardened to support contact stresses from the rolling elements, and the inner ring is ductile to help absorb shock loads. The bearing holds a full complement of needle rollers for a higher radial load-carrying capacity than caged rollers. Moly-filled nylon lip seals (Lubri-Disc) on both sides of the bearing retain lithium base grease applied at manufacture and help protect against contaminants. The seals also vent excess grease to help prevent seal blowout during relubrication and have a continuous operating temperature range from -29 to +121 degrees C. The CF series cam follower includes lubrication holes on both ends of the stud and through a cross-drilled hole in the stud shank. Cam followers with an outer diameter size of 11/16 inches or smaller can be relubricated only through the flange end of the stud. All McGill inch stud-type cam followers include an oil hole plug for closing off each unused hole to help prevent contamination. This cam follower is suitable for use in a broad range of linear and motion translation applications including process transfer lines, ram support rollers, conveyors, machine tools, and indexing equipment, among others. Track runner bearings, also called track roller bearings, are rolling element be
