Medline Maxorb Extra Ag Plus Silver Alginate Antimicrobial Sheet Wound Dressing is a highly absorbent dressing which provides an antibacterial barrier to combat bacteria absorbed in the wound exudate. The CMC fiber improves the vertical wicking and fluid handling as well as the wet strength. Wound exudate mixes with dressing to form a gel that will not wick out, reducing the potential for damage to peri wound skin. It helps manage bacterial burden with controlled-release ionic silver.
