In 1985, MAXIT Designs, Inc. invented the tubular headwear category and started the multi-functional headwear craze. The BG Tube is Maxit’s light-weight, multi-use, cooling, and sun-blocking headwear that can be worn in a variety of ways. It’s made with a stretchable nylon/spandex micro-fiber fabric that’s silky-smooth for next to skin comfort and rated at 50+ UPF; this is the highest UPF rating available, blocking 99-100% of harmful UVA and UVB rays. Wear it dry to wick perspiration and block the harmful effects of the sun or wear it wet for an evaporative cooling effect. Compared to similar products made from polyester micro-fibers, The BG Tube’s nylon micro-fibers offer a longer lasting evaporative cooling effect when wet while still maintaining excellent moisture wicking properties when dry. Nylon micro-fibers are also lighter in weight compared to polyester micro-fibers in a similar construction. The BG Tube can be comfortably worn as a summer liner under any style hat, hard hat or helmet and it folds to pocket size. Measures approximately 16” x 10". Made in the USA.
