About Masterblend Tomato & Vegetable Fertilizer Plant
Complete Combo Kit Fertilizer (3 Combo kits) - accurately weighed packets for making 5 gallons of nutrient solution (3 kits will make 15 gallons total). The fertilizer can be used for hydroponics and soil gardens. Each kit includes individually bagged components: 12.0 grams Tomato & Vegetable Fertilizer 4-18-38, 6.0 grams Epsom Salt (magnesium sulfate), and 12.0 grams Calcium Nitrate 15.5-0-0. The 12g / 6g / 12g amounts are selected to make 5 gallons of the standard, classic nutrient recipe so you don’t need a scale and you won’t have to spend time weighing out the components yourself (you will need a 5 gallon bucket to mix the nutrient solution in). I recommend that you do not mix the 3 components together at the same time because doing so causes nutrient lockout and some nutrients will not be available to your plants. Instead, mix and dissolve the Tomato & Vegetable Fertilizer 4-18-38 and Epsom Salt in water first before adding the Calcium Nitrate.
