This Mason MBSW10X10 vibration isolation pad is a high load capacity pad for reducing noise, high frequency vibration and impact from machines. It has a steel plate for durability and distributing concentrated loads cemented to a neoprene waffle pad to provide a non-skid surface and maximum vibration isolation. A 3/4" bolt hole in the center of the pad allows for rigid mounting to equipment, with a neoprene washer cemented to a steel washer for noise and vibration isolation at the connection. This vibration isolation pad is meant for use with machinery that has a concentrated load due to a small leg or a formed sheet metal leg without a bottom surface. It is suitable for use with compressors, HVAC units, pumps, generators, transformers, and presses. Specifications Maximum load capacity 5,000 lb./2268 kg Deflection 15% Additional travel to solid 50% of deflection Hardness 50 Durometer Dimensions* 10 x 10 x 1 inches/254 x 25 x 25 mm (H x W x D) *H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back Shock and vibration control products (absorbers, mounts, and pads) reduce air and structure-borne dissonance by either blocking or absorbing sound waves, or damping or isolating vibrations that cause them. Shock absorbers, vibration damping mounts, and vibration damping pads can extend equipment life and help protect work environments, and they are most commonly used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems or in other large machinery operations. Weight distribution determines the number of mounts or pads needed. If evenly distributed, the maximum load capacity per mount or pad should equal the total weight of the machine divided by the number of mounting points available. Mason Industries manufactures noise reduction, vibration isolation, and seismic restraint control products such as mountings, hangers, and flexible connectors for mechanical equipment. The company, founded in 1958, is headquartered in Hauppauge, NY.
