About Majestic Giftware PHM15110 Jerusalem Old City

This Jerusalem mezuzah case, which was hand crafted in Israel, blends modern day art with an authenticity city scene. Add this mezuzah to any room in your home or purchase it as a gift. The casing sparkles under bright light, and the Jerusalem scene will evoke memories of your last visit to Israel. Our mezuzah cases come with pre-attached double sided tape that allows you to quickly install them in under 1 minute. After you insert the scroll (Klaf), which is sold separately, pull off the plastic covering from the double sided tape and firmly apply the mezuzah case to the door post. This metal mezuzah case is for indoor use only. A mezuzah (Hebrew: מְזוּזָה‎‎doorpost; plural: מְזוּזוֹת mezuzah) is a piece of parchment (often contained in a decorative case) inscribed with specified Hebrew verses from the Torah (Deuteronomy 6:4-9 and 11:13-21). these verses comprise the Jewish prayershema Yisrael, beginning with the phrase:hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. A mezuzah is affixed to the doorframe in Jewish homes to fulfill the mitzvah (biblical commandment) to inscribe the words of the Shema the doorposts of your Deuteronomy 6:9). some interpret Jewish law to require a mezuzah on every doorway in the home[1] apart from bathrooms and closets too small to qualify as rooms.[2] the parchment is prepared by a qualified scribe (softer stam) who has undergone many years of meticulous training, and the verses are written in black indelible ink with a special quill pen. The parchment is then rolled up and placed inside the case.
