-Universal used in organized garages, warehouses, and workshops. -Perfect for trucks, pickups, campers, vans, boats, and trailers. -Ideal for securing kayaks, ATVs and other powersport equipment, bikes, refrigerators and camping gear, etc. How to install the D-ring? 1. Choose a versatile tie-down spot, such as corners of truck beds and trailers. 2. Set a mounting plate down on the space you wish to install a D-ring and cross the mounting hole centers. 3. With a hole saw and chisel, use the center spot to cut a 3" x 3-1/8" hole that gradually advances from 9/16" deep to 1-1/8" deep. 4. The recessed pan fitting has four pre-drilled countersunk holes, keeping the bolts flush with the surface. If you are using a backplate, place it on the trailer underside; secure each bolt with a washer and nut on the other side of the mounting surface.
