A special clay is applied to the blade by hand, using a thin covering near the edge and a thicker layer over the rest of the blade. This results in a relatively quicker cooling of the edge during quenching, producing a harder edge and softer back. The beautiful real hamon is also a result of the differential cooling of the blade (quenching and tempering). Two seppas spacers secure the Tsuba. The Habaki (blade collar) is of brass composition.The saya is made of hard quality wood with genuine leather. There lether belt is with it. The leather used on the saya are coffee, if you need, we can change it to Black Leather for you. Notice: 1. The sword is attached with saya and free silk bag. 2. Box and stand are not included.
