The visible tenuous undulating grain on the blade was resulted from folded repeatedly during forging. This blade has a shape in SHINOGUI-ZUKURI style. There is one big Hi (blood groove) on each side which is from Habaki to the middle of the blade, the thickness on the back becomes thinner from the half of the blade towards the tip, but the back turns to thick near the KISSAKI (tip). This saya is hard wooden and lacquered red with high quality paint to high gloss its surface, the Sage-O is tied around the ox horn Kurikata (knob) of the saya, the ox horn Koiguchi (scabbard mouth) and Kojiri (scabbard tip) has been hardened to tighten the hardness of the saya. Notice: 1. The sword is attached with saya and free silk bag. 2. Box and stand are not included.
