About Lynx Garlick Thomas Flinn British 20” Crosscut

Thomas Flinn is the oldest remaining traditional hand saw maker in Sheffield, England. Thomas Flinn produces an extensive range of saws under famous traditional brands like Pax, Garlick, Lynx, William Greaves and Dorchester. This saw is co-branded Lynx / Taytools. Thomas Flinn is known for making reasonably-priced, professional-quality western-style hand saws. This saw is made from world-renowned Sheffield allow spring steel providing a good balance of edge durability and ease of sharpening. The saw plate is taper-ground and gets progressively thinner (approx. 0.005 inches) from the teeth to the back of the saw. This greatly reduced binding in the cuts. It comes with a handle made from stained European Beech and has brass button screws. The handle is attractive and comfortable in use. The 20" blade has 10 TPI and is filed for cross cutting. Saw is hand-sharpened before leaving the factory. This saw can be resharpened.
