Most tap water will ruin the flavor of the brewed coffee. - Second, DO NOT fill the maker more than half way. And when heating do not use any heat source or setting above medium low. As soon as it boils immediately remove it from the heat and let it settle down. It can get quickly out of control, so pay close attention. - You can do a second boil to increase the strength of the brew. If you follow the above instructions your palate will be rewarded.
