About Luminocity-Illuminating The Music Of Giovanni
BrassCross is an ensemble comprised of the Messiah College Brass Faculty and selected students from their studios. The purpose of the group is to create a collaborative atmosphere for the study, performance and recording of brass chamber music. In BrassCross, students sit alongside their major professors in the spirit of the ancient master-apprentice arrangements of the early guilds. The personnel listed on this recording represent students from approximately five years of recording. BrassCross was founded in 2009 by William Stowman and Michael Harcrow, and is conducted by Bradley Genevro, Director of Bands at Messiah College. While the group has enjoyed a variety of live performance opportunities, Luminocity is the groups inaugural recording.
