This novel, connected to the Circle of Friends Ministry, will challenge your faith as you witness the redemption and restoration that is only possible through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Review Love Me Back to Life is classified as fiction, but it is a raw and transparent look at broken lives and dysfunctional families. I don't remember being so impacted by a work of fiction as much as I was by this book. (Janet Hovis Along the Way Blog 2010-10-20) A good book that sensitively brings childhood abuse out in the open to the reader. A great ending! (Kathy Warth christianbook.com 2011-01-10) Horsfall and Stevens take on the difficult subject matter of childhood sexual abuse and handle it in a gentle manner that glorifies God in the process. This is a novel that could help women, whether they have personally experienced abuse or just know someone who has. (Melissa Parcel RT Book Reviews 2011-02-01) I just couldn't put this book down. I was so intrigued by Mallory's struggles, that I wanted to know what in the world was going on. I love how the author portrayed Mallory's raw emotions and I was wishing for her healing. I felt so bad for Jake, trying to be a good husband, but not understanding his wife's past, so that in doing what he thought was a good husband, he was actually making things worse. For me, this book was quite an eye opener and I am so glad that I had a chance to read it. It also made me realize how awesome it is to have someone who cares about you so much, that they won't leave you broken, but they will heal you and bring you back to a full and rich life. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading about the healing power of God's love. (Jodie Moore Mom's Pace 2011-02-12) In this book, readers follow Mallory Carlisle’s journey as she seeks out professional help and the process she takes towards healing. It is intense, emotionally exhausting and hard to read at times. The authors are quick to point out that not all paths to healing will be the same as in this story – some will be longer and more treacherous. At the end of the book the authors have included a study guide which can be used individually or for study groups. (Melissa Cafe Lily 2011-03-03) This is a moving story. This story kept my attention from the first page through the last one. I appreciated the fact that this book was about a family, a mother, rather than just being another romance novel or something. This is a good book, and a good eye opener about the effects of childhood abuse even into adulthood. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. (Emily Acker 2011-03-07) I was impressed with the authors' choice to tackle such a difficult subject...Missy and Susan definitely deserve credit for being brave enough to bring to light the fact that childhood abuse can affect even the most pious of Christians, and for showing how both therapy and God's love can help victims to overcome their hurts. Boldly tackling topics that are often hidden away in Christian circles, Love Me Back to Life is a heart-breaking tale of God's healing power and love. While I sometimes felt overwhelmed by the many difficulties that Mallory found herself pitted against, I definitely think that Missy Horsfall and Susan Stevens deserve credit for writing such an honest and realistic account of one woman's struggle to overcome childhood abuse.
