About Living Moss - Fresh Sheet Moss Perfect For
Hypnum Cuppresiforme is often referred to as sheet moss for it's lateral, interwoven growth habit. It produces a uniform surface that resembles a berber rug in texture. With a medium growth habit and the ability to cover wood, soil and sometimes stone, this moss is a great carpeting species with the ability to adapt to a wide range of conditions. Establishment in outdoor southern climates can be difficult but proper watering techniques can make it possible. This moss is freshly harvested by our growers, not the dry dormant product available for floral arrangements and crafts. You can lay it down in full sheets or gently break it up to provide greater coverage. Strong woven branching makes for a durable walk-able moss lawn. Keep it evenly moist in a shady location and it will stay beautiful.
