The Liquid X Grit Guard keeps dirt particles at the bottom of your bucket, where it belongs! Our premium grit guard fits in most 3.5, 4.5, and 5 gallon buckets with a 12" diameter. Don't let pesky dirt get in your way when washing. Allow the Grit Guard to aid in avoiding scratches and swirls in the first place so you can enjoy the effects of our premium shampoo. Most scratches and swirls come from improper washing techniques. The contaminants from wiping down your vehicle with a wash pad or wash mitt can be rubbed right back into the paint if not dealt with correctly. The raised platform also serves as the perfect wash board for your wash mitt or wash pad, keeping dirt from being reapplied onto your vehicle. The grit guard works by separating dirt from your wash mitt and trapping these particles at the bottom of the bucket into four quadrants. Liquid X recommends the full 2 bucket wash system to properly wash your car without leaving scratches or swirls. Adding a grit guard to each bucket guarantees the chances of scratching your car are slim to none. When using only one bucket for washing, you are essentially mixing all the clean water with the dirt and grime from off of your car and then reapplying those harmful particles right back onto the car's surface, which results in scratches and marring.
