At 12" tall, it's perfect indoors for table tops, windowsills and entrance ways and can be used outside on dry days.To illuminate, simply insert 3 x AAA batteries (not included) and using the switch underneath set the lantern to 'timer' for 6 hours of automatic illumination at the same time every day.
