Press firmly down and hold for 3-5 seconds and repeat it 5-8 times. Stop refilling once you see the visible window is full or the fuel begins to overflow, which means it's full. How to use: Read the user manual and fill in the butane before using it. The butane lighter contains no fuel due to Safety Regulation and please wait for 5-10 minutes to allow gas to stabilize in the lighter, or the lighter will hard to ignite. For short time using: Step 1: Filling gas before using. Step 2: Press the ignition button to light. Step 3: Release the ignition button to extinguish the flame and stop fuel flow. For long time using: Step 1: Filling gas before using. Step 2: Slide up the safety lock to "ON". Step 3: Press the ignition button to light. Step 4: Slide down the safety lock to "OFF" after press the ignition button. Release finger, the flame stills light on. Step 5: Slide up the safety lock to "ON", release finger to turn off. How to adjust flame level: *Make sure the butane lighter is not operating. *Pull out the adjusting ring at the bottom. *Rotate the fuel adjustment knob to (-)/(+) on the bottom of the lighter to decrease/increase the flame. *Ideally, the butane lighter's flame height should be controlled at 1.5-2.0CM. *When you turn off the torch lighter, the flame will still burn for 1 to 3 seconds because there is still butane in the pipe. You can rotate the fuel adjustment knob to the lowest, which can help extinguish the flame and stop fuel flow.
