About Legris 7886 22 22 Lock-Out Valve, 1/2" NPT Male X

This Parker Legris 7886 series lock out valve is pneumatically controlled and is suitable for use in on/off operation in pneumatic applications. A female National Pipe Taper (NPT) receiver accepts the air tubing used to actuate the lock out valve diaphragm. The nickel-plated brass valve parts are corrosion-resistant and the nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) diaphragm and O-ring are resistant to oil and chemicals. The body has male National Pipe Taper (NPT) fitting on the inlet side and female NPT fitting on the outlet side. It has a maximum operating pressure of 145 pounds per square inch (psi) and a working temperature range of -4 to +158 degrees F. The valve complies with the Council of the European Union 2006/42/EC directive and the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 97/23/EC standards for safety and complies with Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) regulations. This lock out valve is suitable for use in pneumatic applications such as in laboratories, food and beverage processing, and paint and printing industries. Flow control valves manage the flow of air, water, or other fluids between pipes, tubes, or hoses. They have two ports and adjustment screws to restrict or direct flow through the valves. The adjustment moves a disc toward or away from the center of the valve to act as a plug to restrict or open the flow path, depending on screw adjustments. Control valves sometimes include either a ball cone (which utilizes a spring-loaded ball seated against a cone-shaped interior surface to block the flow) or a swing check valve (which has a movable disc on a hinge to block reverse flow). Flow control valves are used in various applications, including machine tools, airplane and truck controls, and automated production lines. Parker Hannifin manufactures electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic motion technologies and systems for liquid handling, filtration, sealing and shielding, climate control, process control, and aerospace applications. The company, founded in 1918, is headquartered in Cleveland, OH.
