As part of Le Creuset's Enamel-on-Steel line, the pot features heavy-gauge carbon steel construction for fast heating and even heat distribution (no hot spots), along with a hard, glossy porcelain-enamel finish for both durability and eye-catching beauty on the stovetop. A stainless-steel rim around the top edge of the pot helps prevent chipping and cracking. Even more, its nonreactive interior resists flavor absorption and staining and cleans up in a snap.
