Sharply designed by Giugiaro of Ital Design, the Lancia Delta first appeared in 1979. Not only did it look good it also performed. Over the next few years, Lancia variations appeared alongside the original Delta 1500, the Prisma followed by the, Delta S4 and the HF 4WD Delta which later became the integrale. Causing a stir on the international rally scene roadgoing versions of the integrale (always with left-hand drive) were sold through the showrooms, and offered exhilaration in everyday motoring. Road testers loved the integrale, and took every opportunity they could to write about it. Reading about it here will help to explain exactly what was so special about the Lancia hatchback which evolved into a world-beating rally car. 64 articles cover the Delta, HF Turbo, HF 4WD, integrale and Prisma. Included are road and comparison tests, new model introductions, updates and advice on buying a used example. 208 pages including over 350 illustrations. Soft Bound.
