This kit is designed for one student to construct a model of an 8-rung ladder segment of a DNA molecule and then build a molecular model of the basic components of the RNA and DNA nucleotides. (For class sets of these activities see kits 71 and 513). All components are reusable and features of the exclusive Lab-aids components include double nitrogen pyrimidine bases constructed proportionately larger in diameter than the single nitrogen purine bases, a unique hydrogen bond, and realistic pentagonal deoxyribose sugar.
