These are the industry standard #6-9 (3/16 inch) barrel diameter kydex eyelets (sometimes called "kydex rivets") that are commonly used in DIY Kydex, Holstex, and Boltaron holster and knife sheath making. They are also used in making leather knife sheaths and gun holsters, and are used in upholstery and garment manufacturing. The #6-9 eyelet length is designed for binding materials with combined thicknesses from .160 inch to 0.185 inch. This allows for the proper roll-over head flaring needed to securely bind the combined materials. The through-hole needed for this eyelet is 0.187 inches. With this diameter, the eyelet will press through the hole with minimum side-to-side play. This ensures that the materials being bound do not shift or misalign.HolsterSmith professional-grade kydex eyelets are designed to roll-over (or "flare") the eyelet's virgin barrel edge when used with quality eyelet flaring tools (we sell these), and will create the perfect head finish demanded by professional holster makers when used for holster binding. HolsterSmith tactical black coated brass kydex eyelets are the best in quality, and are the most precise in the industry.
