About Koyo HJ-142212 Needle Roller Bearing, Heavy

This Koyo heavy duty, single row, radial needle roller bearing has a steel cage and an oil hole in the outer ring, and is suitable for applications with high dynamic and static loads. It has a reduced cross-section (without an inner ring) for use in restricted mounting spaces, and the thick, one-piece outer ring has integral end flanges to provide axial guidance for the cage and rollers. The cage provides guidance and even spacing of the rollers for reduced friction, vibration, and noise when operated at high speeds, and it is made of hardened steel for greater strength, rigidity, and heat resistance than nylon cages. The outer ring has a lubrication groove and oil hole for applying lubrication in place. The needle rollers are made of through-hardened, high-carbon chromium steel for durability and heat tolerance, and have contoured ends to optimize the distribution of contact stress. This radial needle roller bearing is used in various applications, such as automotive and truck transmissions, agricultural and construction equipment, pumps and compressors, and two-cycle engines, among others.SpecificationsIdentification code, boundary dimensions, bearing tolerances, and fitting and mounting practiceAmerican National Standards Institute/American Bearing Manufacturers Association ANSI/ABMA 18.2Standard specification for needle roller bearings having thick outer rings, with rollers and cageASTM International ASTM F2246Military standard for needle roller bearings having thick outer rings, with rollers and cageMilitary Standard MS51961Roller bearings use rolling elements to maintain a separation between moving parts to reduce rotational friction and support radial and axial loads.
