The name Chamomile derives from the Greek word (Chamomili), which means "earth apple";, a reference to its apple like aroma. Chamomile is native to Greece and the plant expresses its aromatic character beautifully in the dry rocky soils of the Greek countryside and mountains. Most commercially available Chamomile is farmed in the Nile River Delta in Egypt, which is at sea level. Klio Organic Greek Chamomile is sourced from the Volos lake region in Chalkidi. It is very aromatic, pungent and concentrated. It is wild harvested, hand packed and unprocessed. Chamomile is known for its relaxing qualities and is most often consumed before bedtime. But there is no reason you shouldn't enjoy it at any other time throughout the day, especially when a bit of stress relief is in order.
