Kenwood's KDC-162U CD receiver enables you to play, control, and charge either an iPhone or an Android phone using the receiver's front-panel USB connection. You can also use this USB connectivity to stream iHeartRadio and Pandora Internet Radio from your iPhone. If you have MP3, WMA, or WAV music files on a thumb drive, the USB port can handle those too. The entertainment options continue, as this Kenwood includes a sensitive AM/FM radio, a CD player, and a front aux input for your portable music player. The handy wireless remote control allows your backseat passengers to control the entertainment, so you can concentrate on the driving. Kenwood also built impressive amplification into this receiver, so you'll notice an improvement in the sound of your factory or aftermarket speakers. Select one of the eight preset EQ settings, or you can use the 3-band parametric equalizer to adjust the tone for your separate sources. The KDC-162U also provides one pair of RCA preamp outputs, which lets you add an amp or powered sub to provide some oomph to your sound.
