Open this key case way: There is a screw on the back that needs to be removed first. Then the two silver side pieces slide to the side (one up, one down) and then pulled outward. the left side (buttons facing toward you) goes down and the right goes up. They are a little difficult to slide by hand, I recommend using a flat head to push down and up on each side.
