For teenagers who have outgrown kid-size packs but aren’t quite ready for an adult size, Kelty offers the Lakota Junior. Sized and shaped to better fit younger hikers, the Lakota Junior features Kelty’s Cloud Lock II adjustable suspension, allowing this pack to grow with your teen. This pack has all the features of an adult pack, giving young backpackers everything they need for fun on the trail. This feature rich pack has everything your teenager needs for a comfortable night or nights in the backcountry. Your gear stays organized with the large front pocket, map pocket, hip belt pocket, and large pocket in the hood of the pack. It's easy to get your gear in the pack with it's top loading design and sleeping bag compartment. Staying hydrated is very important while travelling in the backcountry and the hydration bladder compatible design helps you do just that. And when the weather moves in, and it usually does, the Lakota Junior comes with its own pack cover which stows in its own pocket on the outside. The features of the pack are nice, but what will keep your young backpacker smiling mile after mile is the suspension system. Utilizing a single Light Beam(tm) aluminum stay that is stiff and light, it will keep the load centered and on the hips and the shoulders. Air Mesh on the shoulder straps, dual density foam waist belt, and lumbar pad will keep you cool when you are working hard. Finally, the load lifters/stabilizers, hip belt stabilizer straps, sternum straps, and Scherer Cinch(tm) waist buckle will help customize the fit and keep the load close to your center of gravity..
