John Webster Johns is even mellower than the Surf but more in the tradition of Nick Drake and Lou Barlow. Released on California's Attack Nine Records, John Webster Johns is proud to present this collection of bedroom recordings, pieced together during his time spent in Los Angeles, New York, Boston and Chicago over a 2 year period. This debut solo effort is comprised of 18 wonderfully short pieces, that seamlessly combine a vivid assortment of synthetic tones and textures, with the homespun intimacy of acoustic instruments and a beautiful voice, showing US a sincere, gentle and warm side of the artist that we might not detect so immediately when listening to the other projects he is involved in (Charlemagne's, Poworld, and Flesh Unitard). 2005.
