Shokugan is a popular type of toy that comes with a piece of candy. With Bandai's proprietary "Hako Vision Technology," a "beautiful world interweaved with images and figures" inside an approximately 8.5-centimeter square box comes to life. The technology involves the use of a figure and clear plate that comes included in the package and a smartphone that is placed screen side down on top of the box after reading the 2D code printed on its side, which queues up an exclusive video.
